Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is gum disease? What are the symptoms of this disease?

A: A gum disease or “periodontal disease” causes tooth loss in the long run if it’s not treated immediately. It is curable and can be detected easily if you visit your dentist regularly. There are many people suffering from this disease and most of them don’t know that they have it. One way in which this disease manifests itself is when you have thick swollen dark gums, together with plaque in your gum line. You are also bound to have bad breath. If you have sensitive teeth or receding teeth, then you are most likely afflicted with this disease. It is best to see a dentist and have your gum checked for an early prevention of this disease before it’s too late.
